 Virginia Graeme Baker Federal Law Delays Aquatic Center Opening

The Suffoletta Family Aquatic Center will not open Memorial Day Weekend due to regulations and requirements placed upon the facility by the Virginia Graeme Baker Federal Law.  We are in the process of having all drains brought up to code.  Please check back for updates. 

 

 

 

Pools Will Close For Swim Meet

The Pools at the Pavilion will close at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 8,  2009 for a swim meet.

Congratulations to the Georgetown - Scott County Parks and Recreation!

The Georgetown - Scott County Parks and Recreation Department and its employees received many awards during the 2008 Kentucky Recreation and Park Society state conference.The Department of the Year award was received by the department employees for exemplifying viable parks, facilities, and programs. Our Director, Lois Holmes, received the prestigious Fellow award. Sherri Nicholas, Superintendent of Recreation, was awarded the Professional of the Year award, and Kimberly Ethridge, a University of Kentucky P.H.D. candidate in Family studies, received the Student of the Dr. Alton Little Graduate Scholarship award.
